GSM / GPRS data transmission module on demand-Kamstrup, RS485 communication, type: AM803-K / AM803-ESCO

DC803 / DC803-R   The built-in GPRS communicator

Description

AM803-K – The GPRS module reads and sends the requested data received via the GPRS and CSD communication channels

AM803-ESCO – The GPRS module constantly monitors the meter via internal communication and transmits the so-read data every 15 minutes via GPRS and CSD

GSM / GPRS Module AM803-K is an embedded module for the power meter. Its function is to read and parameterize the meter in which it is installed, and all the counters that are connected to the meter via the RS485 bus, depending on the received request via GPRS and CSD communication channel in real time. The module outside can be accessed via a GSM data call (CSD) or TCP / IP protocol over a GPRS connection. The protocol that is being used is one of:
– EN 62056-21
– DLMS / COSEM
– Protocol of the meter in which it is embedded.

The EN 62056-61 Object Identification System (OBIS) is used.

The AM803-K can be parameterized in three ways: GSM or TCP / IP protocol or locally via RS485 bus. Parameters that can be read or programmed are GPRS connection settings (username, password, APN, and port), while only the GSM signal level, hardware and firmware versions can only be read.

It is also possible to remotely upgrade the firmware to a newer version.

Parameter setting or reading of settings is protected, for each communicator unique,
16-digit password so that settings can only be accessed by authorized persons.

The AM803-K communicates with counters crossed to the local RS485 bus depending on the protocol of the connected meter.

If the counter has a built-in contactor, the AM803-K module allows remote power-off and shut-off of the meter.

If the customer does not have physical access to the meter, when the number is counted, the AM803-K allows the external key to be connected. The button has the re-engagement function of the built-in counter contactor if the pre-command of the countdown timer is on hold.
